Der Weltenergierat – Deutschland lädt Sie herzlich dazu ein, an dem Webinar „Germany’s Energy Transition in a Changing World – International Perspectives 2025” am 30. Juni 2025, 14:00 bis 15:30 Uhr teilzunehmen. Die vergangenen Jahre waren von tiefgreifenden globalen Entwicklungen geprägt – darunter geopolitische Spannungen und Herausforderungen für die internationale Energie- und Klimapolitik. Diese Ereignisse haben nicht nur nationale Energiepolitiken, sondern auch die internationale Zusammenarbeit und die weltweite Energiewende nachhaltig beeinflusst. Vor diesem Hintergrund hat der Weltenergierat – Deutschland über 100 Antworten aus mehr als 40 Ländern gesammelt und analysiert. Ziel war es, ein Stimmungsbild zur deutschen Energiewende aus internationaler Perspektive zu gewinnen: Welche Erwartungen hat die Welt an Deutschland? Gilt die deutsche Energiepolitik als mögliches Vorbild? Und: Ist eine stärkere internationale Kooperation notwendig, um globale Energie- und Klimaziele zu erreichen?  Im Webinar werden zentrale Botschaften und Erkenntnisse aus dieser Befragung vorgestellt. Weltenergierat-Geschäftsführer Dr. Carsten Rolle wird anschließend eine Diskussion mit internationalen Expert:innen zum Thema “Germany’s Energy Transition in a Changing World – Expectations, Impact, and Global Lessons” führen. Mit dabei sind u. a. Marcus Hicken, Beauftragter für Energieaußenpolitik, Klima und Sicherheit im Auswärtiges Amt, und Minxi Fu, Co-Founder, LVT.Energy. The World Energy Council – Germany cordially invites you to participate in the webinar ‘Germany’s Energy Transition in a Changing World – International Perspectives 2025’ on 30 June 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. CEST. In recent years, the world community has experienced a series of upending events, including geopolitical tensions and challenges to international energy and climate policy. The multi-dimensional impact of these has inevitably affected the trajectory of not only domestic energy policies, but multilateral cooperation and the global energy transition.  With participation from over 40 countries, the World Energy Council – Germany was able to gather +100 responses, gaining new insights from Germany’s neighbours near and far. The aim was to capture international perceptions of the German energy transition: What are the world’s expectations of Germany? Is Germany’s energy policy a fit reference for other countries? And: Do we need increased cooperation as a whole?  In this webinar, we will share the key messages that we received from the international community about the state of the German energy transition in 2025. Following the key results, the Executive Director of the World Energy Council – Germany, Dr Carsten Rolle, will moderate a panel and Q&A session ‘Germany’s Energy Transition in a Changing World – Expectations, Impact, and Global Lessons’. In this panel, he will be joined by different international energy experts who will be representing perspectives from varying sectors. Among the participants are Marcus Hicken, Director for Energy Diplomacy, Climate and Security, German Federal Foreign Office, und Minxi Fu, Co-Founder, LVT.Energy.  We look forward to discussing the state of the German energy transition and its role in global energy policy with you.
